The National Statistical Institute and the Plovdiv Regional Statistical Office have the pleasure of presenting to its users the latest regional edition "Statistical Review of Plovdiv District 1998 - 2002" in a printed and electronic version.
The issue is addressed to all users interested in the demographic, social and economic development of the district for the 1998 - 2002 period.
The issue is structured in two parts.
The first part - "Plovdiv District" comprises data at a regional level and where possible at municipality levels. It is divided into 24 subject sections. The economic sections contain data structured by branches. Information is published concerning the population, the labour market, investment and main indicators on the different branches of the economy, indicators on small and medium enterprises, education, health, justice, culture, tourism and ecology.
Data on the last population and housing census concerning families, households, nationality and religion are published in a separate section.
The second part contains main data on the South Central Planning Region presented in 10 sections. Data of the districts within the planning region are included. The main economic indicators as well as those on population, dwelling stock, labour market, gross domestic product, education, health and tourism describing the profile of the territorial units and the region as a whole are selected.
